WELCOME 2010
The Londonderry Blue Lions Cheerleading Organization is made up of several recreational competitive cheer teams. The organization currently provides cheerleading alternatives for children in grades 3 – 9. The Blue Lions have decided to continue “as usual” and will operate in 2010 as in years past and remain an independent and recreational competitive cheer program for grades 3 – 9.

Cheerleading alternatives.
Due to increased popularity in recent years, cheerleaders now have several alternatives to best suit their ability and preference. Alternatives are best described in four methods
- Traditional Spirit Teams
- Traditional Spirit and Competitive Teams
- All-Star Teams
- Recreational Competitive Teams
Traditional Spirit Teams, while still the largest perception among many, focus on providing support for other athletic teams such as Football and Basketball.
Traditional Spirit and Competitive Teams support other athletic sports teams as well but also compete at local and at times, regional and national cheer competitions.
All-Star Teams are private businesses focused solely on an advanced level of cheer competition.
Recreational Competitive Teams focus on competition at a recreational level for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels, free from the required support to another athletic sport.
Before selecting a team for your child, we at the Blue Lions encourage parents and cheerleaders to do a thorough research to ensure a healthy and enjoyable activity for all.
